Welcome! Here you'll find original oil & watercolour paintings, along with handmade cards and fine-quality prints of my artwork.
I specialize in scientific illustration, and have traveled across North-America capturing the likenesses of things great and small. Along the way, I try to focus both on my subjects and their environmental contexts -- my works are accompanied by detailed natural history records, which document their time, location, and situation.
My oil paintings come in two varieties: large, plein-air scenes, and the smaller "daily paintings" -- these usually done while on scientific field-trips undertaken with my husband, biologist Fred Schueler. My watercolours tend to be detailed animal portraits.
