Welcome to my studio.
My current exploration is of the relic and amulet, how a lowly fragment of material becomes the precious. How we keep it near on our body and near our heart to protect us, to comfort us, to remind us to be brave. Amulets have been worn throughout history, by soldiers going into battle, travelers beginning a journey, the survivor holding a memento of who or what was lost.
I build containers to house my precious relics. Resin perfectly protects and preserves the relics and creates tiny still-lifes.
Every design is one-of-a-kind...my relics are unique and never repeated.
