Thank you for visiting my fun little corner of the ETSY universe.
I am a home school mom to two great kids. My passsions are my family, ministry and art.
I have had a life long love for Africa and all things African. In 2006 that love and the desire for a second child in our family led us to adopt our daughter from Ethiopia. As soon as my feet hit the ground in Ethiopia I felt as if I was exactly where I should be. Our travels there cemented the bond of love with the continent and quickened in me a desire to help meet the desperate needs of the women and children there who are victims of war, famine and the AIDS pandemic.
I have struggled to juggle my home life and my art for so long. I have wondered if the art were only a selfish pursuit to be laid aside in favor of doing the work God is calling us to. It has been laid on my heart in recent weeks that the purpose of my creativity is to serve God by serving the most needy of his children
Our family has decided to once again adopt a child from Africa. We have not yet chosen our agency and are considering Rwanda and Ethiopia. Any profits from sales in this store, and my mixed media store,
amyma.etsy.com will all go first to our adoption fund. Once the adoption has been funded the profits will go to agencies and individuals working to bring aid to the suffering in Africa.
I have been creating my lampwork glass beads in my home studio for over 10 years. I am pleased to offer my work to you here. All of my beads are carefully annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for durability. They are carefully cleaned and ready for you to use in your jewelry designs. Enjoy!
I will gladly combine shipping for multiple items. Just contact me for a combined invoice.
