The inspiration was rooted from the surroundings and culture I have grown to live and known best. Technology moves along to a stance where the locals are still holding great intensity of faith and social values. The feeling for freedom to break out with creative ideas has grown throughout the years since leaving college. Having worked in the financial industry just like what most economic graduates are expected to, I have found out that the corporate job is nothing for me especially when creativity is very limited in this field. I started to realize that security must be traded for the biggest passion just to start something I can call my own. Clothing and fashion must go along together with the way of life, and style is basically to feel good all about yourself rather than just taking the trend that the society smashes it up onto your face. The path to productivity is mainly driven from an abstract mind to break through the boring salary routines. First started with a group of friends who shared common interest and passion, I am now running the store solo with self-taught design and tailoring skills through pattern-making and sewing while trying to maintain the consistent spirit that my partners and I used to share since day one. Everyday throughout the years has been a learning curve for me given that I have no fashion diploma while continuously trying to gain advice from experienced seamstress auntie who occasionally provides production help at times, especially with the season of rush orders. ANDWHATELSEISTHERE is all in all a result of making street-chic women's wear inspired by the lively surroundings while still staying grounded.

Being playful with materials while recreating a wardrobe to fulfill both needs of the clients and mine are the key. I use various materials like cotton mixed with polyester for tailoring the geometric shape of modern pants. Chiffon, lace, and crepes are also the tasty extras in customizing the dresses. Women have to radiate from their own personalities while clothing makes their style statement and allows them to outshine for new found exploration of individuality and passion.
