Woodblock prints made the Japanese way

anniebissett's Shop Announcement

"Moku hanga" is the Japanese term for woodblock print ("moku" means wood and "hanga" means print). The Japanese technique is distinguished from western techniques in its use of multiple blocks for multiple colors, water-based instead of oil-based pigments, and hand printing with a baren rather than printing on a press. The materials used for moku hanga are simple, organic and non-toxic.

All of my original woodblock prints are produced in small limited editions, made with archival pigments and papers, signed and numbered. They are shipped flat in a clear poly art bag. Please note that the true colors may vary somewhat from the colors on your computer monitor.
