Welcome to my Apple Barrel Primitives Etsy Shoppe. I Feature Original One of a Kind Primitive Folk Art Painting and Primitive Decor done by me, Artist Paula Schier.

My greatest love is painting however it seemed at first it was sewing. I have always loved creating. My creative juices seem to never stop. When I was just a young girl my mother taught me how to sew. I was hooked on sewing. I use to sew most of my own clothes. I use to sew much of my children's clothes when they were little. After awhile I barely even used a pattern.

My sister loved to dabble in painting. When I was about 11 yrs old, she took me to the art shop, bought me a couple of canvas panels, brushes and paints and showed me how to do a still life. Later I took a course on painting. Ever since then, I have been hooked totally. I started with oils but have transferred over to acrylics.

I love the primitive style. My favorite style is the Americana style with Halloween a close 2nd. It seems I never run out of ideas for the two and both styles are so much fun to paint.
So if I am sewing or painting, all the work you see on my listings are done by me.
