Welcome to my shop...Please feel free to ask questions.

Scherenschnitt (shear-n-snit-a) which means "scissor cuts" in German. Is not done in the traditional style. They are usually done in black and white and are silhouettes. I like to add water color to them. This is my own drawing.

This art tradition was found in Switzerland and Germany in the 1500's and brought to Colonial America in the 1700's by Immigrants who settled primarily in Pennsylvania.
