astraeadesigns's Shop Announcement

Welcome to my little corner of Etsy! I have oodles of jewelry, as you can see, and love to spend my free time making more! I'm inspired by a variety of things: ancient cultures and mythology, Victorian/Goth fashions and burlesque troupes, medieval and Renaissance costumes, and anything else that strikes my fancy.

A number of ladies were kind enough to model for me -- my friend Leah, who has her own gallery here under "VelocityRaeDesigns"; Raine, better known as "Sugar Von Tassel," from the Austin-based troupe, Big Star Burlesque, as well as local stage actress Stacey Glazer, actress/models Keli Wolfe and Jennifer Blair, models Lily Parish, Catherine Burke, and Christine Hall, and friend & co-worker, Alena Armstrong. Even my Mom has modeled for me!

I'm also lucky enough to know a pair of photographers who have collaborated with me: Jessica Cargill and Harris O'Malley. Their work has all been credited in the jewelry blurbs.

I especially enjoy making "costumey" jewelry that looks great onstage, so if you're a performer and have a particular piece in mind, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to work something out.
