Someone said, "Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time." That sounds about right.
It's been a slow process for me to establish my Etsy shop in the midst of homeschooling three kids and working part-time, but I just love making things. Actually, it's more than a love of making things. I cannot not create. I must do it or I just feel off, somehow empty or missing a part of myself. I love immersing myself in the creative process and the feeling of fulfillment that I get when I make something with my own two hands and my one busy, overloaded, stuffed-full-of-ideas brain. And I'm still thrilled when I think about being part of this great marketplace called Etsy!
In my spare time (ha! I made a funny!), I enjoy:
>spending time with my husband, kids, friends and the rest of my family
>curling up in my cozy corner of the couch reading or watching movies, and eating dark chocolate
>trying out ideas I discover on Pinterest: I freely admit I'm addicted to fashion boards, cleaning ideas and making my own cleaning products, recipe reading, and looking at pictures of decrepit buildings
>volunteering my time and talents to my kid's drama group (check it out: fullimpacttheater.org)
