Welcome to Attic Treasures Basketry. My name is Connie and I enjoy weaving traditional baskets for home decor and storage.

This business grew out of a love for history and handcraftsmanship. Nearly all cultures throughout the ages have made and used baskets for daily use and storage. Basketry is also an art form with endless possibilities for creativity and self expression. How can one argue with beautiful and useful at the same time?

Each basket is handwoven, and I use the best quality materials that I can find. I dye much of my own reed, and enjoy the freedom to experiment with color, texture and pattern when basket weaving.

In order to keep the basket weaving tradition alive, I offer beginning basket making classes for small groups in South Eastern Wisconsin. Contact me for more information.
