I love using seed beads to make lightweight items that you barely feel on you, or using things like glass to spruce up a piece.

I also love the challenge of a custom piece and welcome any inquiries in that direction. I only have a small number of items up on my site right now, but keep checking back, I've always got ideas rolling around in my head!
