I use a leather type material inside the straps for strength and also the underside is suede type fabric and nice to hold on your shoulder.
A double sided fabric strap will be slippery on your shoulder so I dont make them that way !

Be aware many sellers sell very lightweight thin straps, This is a substantial strap
