Hello! I'm Melanie Ham - thanks for visiting my shop here on Etsy! I grew up in a family blended with equal parts of engineer smarties and creative crafters. I'm a wife and stay at home mom of two adorable little ones, living in Los Angeles, CA. I've always enjoyed arranging our homes to make a space that's comfortable, cozy and pretty for my family to enjoy wherever we are. While finishing up my degree in Art History, I was drawn to sewing since my mom & grandmother both sew, because its a nice balance of methodical planning and limitless opportunities for creativity and I love fabric. I fell in love with quilting from the wonderful online community of modern quilters, so I started making quilts for my family members, and security blankets - or loveys - for my children. When I saw how much my kids adored the loveys I decided to give them as gifts to friends at baby showers. The feedback was overwhelmingly enthusiastic! Now, I use nap time to design and create a variety of hand made products that I list here on Etsy. A creative outlet that originated with using my talents and curiosity to Benefit & Bless the people I love has evolved into a livelihood, and I'm so glad to share my designs in a variety of lines with you.
