The Bird Women Series, which bears only a symbolic resemblance to the Bird Goddesses of the Neolithic, is the result of my fascination with the work of archeologist, Marija Gimbutas. Her findings bring us the knowledge that the goddess-worshipping cultures of Old Europe were relatively peaceful.
The Bird Women Series commemorates our oldest, peaceful and creative ancestors. May we wage peace in the name of the Civilization of the Goddess!
