Welcome!
I specialize in safe, quality, hand-crafted wooden toys. My Waldorf style toys are made in my home-based workshop, located in Southern Indiana. I hand select only locally available domestic hardwoods for my toys. I choose a wood for each toy that I feel best complements the appearance and function of the toy.

Safety
My toys are not only beautiful but durable and safe. I sand each toy silky-smooth and round all edges for safety. I use only domestic hardwoods - no pine, breakable parts, paint, or stain. The finish on all of my toys is non-toxic mineral oil or beeswax as noted in the descriptions.

Quality
As a parent of four children, I've long-known how important it is to fill our home with quality, open-ended playthings that spark creativity and imagination. My live-in "toy testers" ensure that every toy from Black Dog Woodshop is fun as well as capable of standing up to wear and tear. I design and build my toys to last for several generations. I will happily repair or replace anything that breaks during normal use.

Shipping
I don't make money on shipping! If you purchase more than one item, the shipping cost may total to be more than my cost. After I ship your items, I will refund any shipping charges you paid above my cost.

Most items will be shipped within 48 hours after your order is placed. Items with a longer lead time are noted in the item description. I'll ship anywhere so let me know if your location is not available for a particular item. If you would like to ship your items as a gift, I will be glad to gift wrap or include a handwritten note.
