Welcome to Can't Afford Em Buttons. Each and every item we sell is hand-made by us here in the South Bronx, using the most environmentally-friendly materials and sweatshop-free materials we can find.

We are based in The Red Roots Community Art Space, our creative hovel in the South Bronx, (New York). Red Roots provides free or low cost art and computer workshops to the Bronx community- (www.bronxredroots.org). Your purchase directly supports DIY (Do-It-Yourself) arts culture.

We are dedicated to nonviolent resistance and the development of alternative media sources. The items and services we offer serve a twofold purpose. First, they help us support ourselves financially while allowing us to continue our various projects and work in our community. Second, they provide us a venue to publicize and further our beliefs in peace and justice. We hope you enjoy sporting our products as much as we enjoy creating them.

Oh, and please remember that Can't Afford Em Buttons is a very small business-- Please be patient with us: We will do our best to notify you when we receive your order and when we are shipping it. Sometimes we make a mistake and forget to do this. (Sometimes we don't get the payment info from Paypal). When that happens, please don't yell at us (it makes us sad), a quick check-in/reminder email should suffice.
