What is the Black Ribbon Society about?

Art about Life & Death, Renewal & Revival

We are Kris Hammes (Couturier/Clothier/Artist) & Jesse Young (Illustrator/Artist).

We have similar...almost perfectly-aligned artistic tastes so, we decided to unite to create art and artifacts that would speak to the people and add a bit of style to every moment in life...The good moments, the bad moments, the moments of renewal and the moments of revival. We like to revisit the past and run for the future.

So, without further ado, Kris and I humbly invite you into our society.

The Black Ribbon Society MISSION: eco-friendly & socially- responsible production, great historically-influenced art, and the all-encompassing goal of providing the world with unique artistic-artifacts.

Our cards and other Offerings are Exclusive because we only do Limited-runs of each design. This preserves precious-resources and allows for great attention to every detail.

We stand for all that is unique, dark & light (but always contrasting), socially responsible, 'Mother Earth'-friendly, and quality-hand-crafted.

The Black Ribbon Society is an artist collective started in San Francisco, CA and currently based in Seattle, WA.
