Welcome to The Blue Tiger Design Studio. All my jewellery is hand crafted by myself Lisa Taylor in my studio in the historic market town of Mold over looking the Welsh hills. I love using beads that are unusual, especially vintage beads as they are so different from modern beads. I collect beads from all over the world for my designs, and this makes each piece unique. I also love hand crafted lampwork beads made by bead artisan's from all over the world. Other materials I like to use are swarovski crystals, gemstones, Thai Karen hill tribe sterling silver and Bali sterling silver. I use as many of these top quality materials as possible, but I also love using lucite or plastic beads as these really add to a piece as some beads you just can't make with glass!

Whatever the piece is made of you can rest assured that NO ONE has the exact same item as you. I will never make an exact same peice twice. I do produce a range of jewellery that may have the same name but each piece is unique...such ranges are Masquerade, stormy Sea's, Sea life, Autumn leaves, Wonderland, Romantica, Candy Girl and Dream catcher.

Some of my designs have featured in books and magazine's. I have a bracelet called 'Stormy Seas' in The beaders colour mixing directory, by Sandra Wallace. I have Also had designs feature in 'Bead' Magazine, and a new book called 'Beading with semi precious stones' by Kim Gover.

All my items are gift wrapped and come boxed unless other wise stated where they are usually wrapped and presented in an organza gift bag.

UPDATE August 2009

On May 7th 2009 my dad was diagnosed with terminal Bowel Cancer. On July 8th 2009 after a short battle, ( a very one sided battle as dad never stood a chance) he passed away very peacefully at The Hospice of The Good shepherd in Backford near Chester in the United Kingdom. The staff there were wonderful and it brought great comfort to myself and my brother to know dad was being looked after so well.

I have been making and selling jewellery for a few years now, and wanted to try to raise some money for the hospice so this seamed like to logical way to do it! So I will be donating a percentage of each sale to the hospice. All sales from this date on are to be included in that even if it doesnt say on the item page..will be updating pages as soon as poss.
