Born (January 1983) and raised in the East German city of Dresden, I experienced the last few years of the German Democratic Republic before the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
Dresden, one of the most important baroque and modern art cities in Europe, influenced me from my early childhood. I always preferred painting and drawing over other activities and am constantly focused on improving my painting skills by fine observation ā of my environment and of other artists.
In 1999, since I started my professional education, I have lived in Munich, Hamburg and Kotka (Finland) until I finally moved to Killorglin in 2009 to undertake the MBS programme in the Institute of Technology Tralee which I completed with a First Class Honours in 2010. Over the years, I also held several roles in call centres and as a business consultant.
However, I never attended art classes and have honed my craft by thorough dedication to the process of painting regularly.
In Kerry, there is so much inspiration. Silence, free of distraction ā the perfect place to give full expression of my creativity and to listen to my inner voice. With my work, Iād love to show the interesting details that are often lost in the bigger picture.ā
So far, my paintings are solely in private collection in Finland, Germany and Ireland. They are also on display in galleries in Co. Kerry, Ireland.
