Home to the Artwork and Treats of Lee May Foster-Wilson
Having grown up in the Cornish countryside surrounded by nature and her family’s menagerie of animals it was inevitable that the natural world would find its way into her artwork and designs. She has a passion for horses and has ridden since she was a small child, a love affair she fears will never subside! As well as drawing too many horses, cats and trees, she likes to explore the patterns, rhythms, folkloric stories and the connection of people to nature in her paintings and drawings, which are then transformed into vibrant textile print designs. The designs are hand screen printed onto clothing and accessories in her studio in Cornwall before being sent all over the world for people to enjoy.
Lee May has worked with musicians such as Bat for Lashes and Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, produced artwork for Urban Outfitters, written about printing for The Guardian online and appeared in a BBC radio program about creative careers. Her clothing, accessories and jewellery have been featured across a range of publications including Vogue UK, Marie Claire Belgium, Grazia, Woman & Home, The Sunday Times and Essentials Magazine as well as numerous mentions online including the online versions of Elle Magazine, The Guardian, and Print and Pattern. She has also been interviewed about her practice for articles in magazines such as Amelia’s Magazine, Lionheart and Digital Artist.
