Brecca's Bizaar
breccamerie's Shop Announcement
Proud member of Vintage Market Team.
If you live outside the United States and would like to make a purchase please contact me with your address and I can calculate shipping costs for you by weight.
I also enjoy a good deal. If you see something you like make an offer. I can occasionally be talked down. Once in a while I put stuff on sale and even if you find my prices too much, book mark things you like. When I do discount them I notify folks who put them on their favorite list. Everybody wins that way!
I love great deals and unique finds. My favorite part is the research behind them. Occasionally I find little histories and stories with them, and these I include with the pieces. If you have info on my items and would like to share or correct me please do. I love the info, but sometimes don’t have all the answers. I have a bad habit of shopping thrift and antique stores and coming home with loads of stuff that is just retro and vintage yummy but frankly not the things that go with my 1920’s style house. (My husband remodels historical homes and that’s the happy compromise for ours.) Thus he is very happy that I have an outlet to support my obsession. I am more than thrilled to share my finds with new happy homes. I am always finding more old and unique items so please check back with me. My husband thanks you!
Old vintage clothing sizes do not always reflect the United States Standard clothing sizes which have gone smaller to reflect the larger expanding population. For vintage clothing I calculated the sizes of article laying flat as follows and then compare sizes to the US standard clothing charts here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_standard_clothing_size#Conversion_from_catalog_sizes
Bust= arm pit seem to arm pit seem across chest multiplied by 2
Waist= half way down shirt from side to side multiplied by 2
Waist of pants= laid flat side to side multiplied by 2
Hips= bottom of shirt side to side multiplied by 2
Length= arm pit seem to bottom of article of clothing (unless otherwise stated)
Length (of pants)= waist to edge of cuff
Sleeve= arm pit seem to edge of cuff or sleeve
Shoulder= from sleeve seem to sleeve seem across collar bones, smaller number indicates from sleeve seem to collar seem
In seem= crotch seem down inside of leg to pant cuff
