My inspiration comes from traveling all around the United Kingdom in past years. My heart belongs across the pond... and I like to bring a bit of Britain, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to my life every day.
To enjoy a bit of the UK with someone else through fun and useful creations is the best medicine for a longing to visit again.
My husband and I have family roots in England, Scotland and Ireland. In fact, my last name is the name of two villages in England. Laycock in Yorkshire and Lacock in Wiltshire. We have visited both and find both places equality charming.
My favorite memory of England was being served clotted cream tea while staying in a Bed & Breakfast in Devon. I also enjoyed visiting Penzance, St. Ives and Lands End. Also, right up there on my list of wonderful memories of England, was my stay at a medieval castle in Northumberland. Not to mention walking through my great great great great grandfather's home and birthplace in Ruthwell, Scotland.
Oh, how I want to return soon!!!
