Welcome! While I opened my Etsy shop in 2009, it took me two years to actually "stock it" and offer my original artwork online.

As the daughter of a talented and expressive watercolor and mixed-media artist, art always had a sacred space in our lives. Whether it was traveling to galleries, creating, or finding inspiration in nature, my childhood was filled with artful memories.

As an adult, I have made my living through writing--over 20 books in all. Yet art remains an important creative outlet and requirement to maintain balance and contentment in my life.

While I have shared my outwork through inspiration cards, post cards, and greeting cards, 2011 marks a new endeavor--to share and offer my original artwork with enthusiasts.

All of my work is inspired by words or an emotion. I begin with a specific emotion in mind and then find colors that express that feeling on paper. My creation process is intuitive, letting the words or statement lead me to additional colors and techniques until I feel the piece is a reflection of the words in my mind.
