Bears and Bunnies Made From Antique & Vintage Textiles

Welcome to BRUNNIES GONE WILD, an Etsy shop specializing in one-of-a-kind heirloom teddy bears and bunny rabbits (a/k/a brunnies), lovingly handmade from American and European vintage and antique textiles. Why do I call them "brunnies?" Because over time, I discovered that when I talked to someone about a bunny, I often inadvertently said "bear," and (of course) when we discussed a bear, I inenvitably referred to it as a bunny. I found that other people talking to me did exactly the same thing. Talk about confusion! Hence, the birth of "brunnies," which seemed like a good idea for us all.

My brunnies appeal to every age group, from young to old. Many of them find homes with young-at-heart grown ups and college-bound young people, who find that a brunny from a loved one lets them keep a little piece of home close by. Brunnies also are, of course, wonderful and unique gifts for newborn babies, for whom they will become lifelong heirlooms that will always bring to mind many fond childhood memories.

Please come in for a little visit with my brunnies. You just might find one tugging at your heart and develop an irresistible urge to adopt a brunny for yourself or as a gift for someone you love!
