B.tanJerine is fresh and vibrant, our style is chic and slightly off beat, with highlights of unpredictability. We love to find beauty in the imperfections of life. It is our desire that our jewelry helps someone add to their beauty and venture outside of their box.
We are two women who live in two very different worlds. One being: FanTaSy
Jean-Marie & I are two foot loose and fancy free jet setters who travel to far flung corners of the universe with babies strapped to our backs in hot pursuit of rare African turquoise, Peruvian opal, and jade from the Orient.
We scour vintage flea markets in Vienna for pure Swarovski crystal necklaces. We hike through the rainforests of Costa Rica to find organic wood pendants and unique beads made from the seeds of great trees. And, In London, we are inspired by the British museum and all its relics to create treasures Cleopatra would blush at.
Then spending hours in her dining room combing through our finds to create new pieces we only dreamed of! In our fantasy there's no concept of time and we never hear the cries of a baby!
We sell our mini masterpieces to local and distant shops for art enthusiasts.
Then there’s the world of: ReaLiTy
We are two friends who love to make jewelry. We wear an “S” on our chests because we are Super Moms! We love being mothers and realize that teaching our babies is the most important role we possess. Aside from motherhood, Jean-Marie is also a Special Occasion Hair Stylist. While I (Britney) am a Cardiac Sonography student. But we both are crafters at heart.
So this shop is an expression of our fantasy merging with our ever present reality.
BtanJerine is also earth friendly. All of our pieces are handmade in Southern California with many reclaimed and repurposed pieces. We always try to recycle and up cycle whenever possible.

* We like to do custom orders.
* Also we are busy mums so we do all of our shipping on Fridays (unless you want to convo us with a special request)
