All recycled material is thoroughly washed with hypoallergenic soap- free from dyes and perfumes and virtually boiled before being put into production.
Some sweater materials that are sourced from second hand stores have fiber contents that are unknown.
All wool material should be cared for by spot washing and air drying. Wool naturally repels liquids so it would be very hard to saturate it, thus it most often does not need to be put in the washing machine. For some items that are worn, laundry care instructions will come with the item.
