I'm Steph to my hubby and friends, Stephie to my family, Bee's Knee's to my Dad, Auntie Steph to my nieces and nephew, and my most favourite.. Mommy :)
I'm a Mama of 2 little angels that have me wrapped around their itty bitty fingers and I'm loving every moment of it!
While there are so many things in life I love {the smell of laundry detergent, peanut butter on a spoon, raw cookie dough} etc etc... Butterfly Kisses focuses on my greatest passion {other then my kids} sewing~
Balance is hard. I can work on something I’m excited about and totally forget to eat. Having a family has helped because I have other people who are depending on me to be normal. I attend to a few emails throughout the day and squeeze in a few errands if need be, but for the most part, my days are dedicated to my children. I don’t want them to remember me consumed by the computer and sewing machine. I have to be very disciplined to not overindulge in work during the day. I do most of my work in the evenings, and during their nap time.
Butterfly Kisses was born in May 2011. I have always considered myself a seamstress. I grew up with 2 extremely talented seamstresses in my life (My Mama, and My Nana). I've been interested in designing and creating my own clothing for as long as I can remember.

When my little ones came along, it was a natural progression for my projects to transition into Mama and Kid friendly. People started asking me where I got these items, and I was told over and over that I should start selling my creations.

I had SO many ideas, (too many!) and my first 8 months of Butterfly Kisses was basically just a test to see if this would really work. What kind of a response would I get? Would people like my ideas? Well. They did. I cannot believe how far Butterfly Kisses has come. It amazes me every day. After mat leave, I was able to stay home with my kids, and enjoy every moment of this precious time in their lives. Everything took off so fast, it was a huge challenge to find a balance in with my life, and Butterfly Kisses. I was scared of success. I tried with all my might to reign it in, and try to keep it from getting out of my control. But BK had a mind of its own. I've learned a lot in the past year and a half. Especially about business, and time management. I had some really great products, that sold really well, but they took me forever to make, and my cost was not making it worth it. I spent a lot of time sifting through my products and focusing on the items that worked best for me, and for my business.

Over the past 19 months Butterfly Kisses has accomplished the following:

*Featured on www.mamabargains.com 2 separate times.
*Featured on a 5 and a 1/2 minute segment on Global TV morning News.
*Approached to be included in a gifting event to Reese Witherspoon, Kourtney Kardashian, Tori Spelling and Molly and Jason Mesnick.
*Featured in 2 News Paper Articles due to the Celebrity spot light in the Langley Advance, and the Langley Times.
*Butterfly Kisses is now available in: 21 boutiques across Canada, (Including North West Territories, and Ontario), 1 boutique in China, and 2 boutiques in the US.
