Welcome to Photos by Dawn.
I have photographed many things over the years. Consistently I go back to two objects that continually capture my imagination. Angels and Mannequins. I see these perfectly formed plastic molds in human form, in many shop windows throughout the city and it sets my imagination running. Angels were a part of my upbringing. Each Sunday my grandmother took me and my sisters to church. We were surrounded in a bathed glow from these beautiful stain glass windows etched with Cherubs and Angels of all shapes and colours. I always felt safe in their presence. Now I photograph timeless stone angels and it brings a sense of peace.
