JUNE: New Prints!! Naked Print Sale!!
My newest intaglio and linocut prints are making their first appearance on Etsy, and for a short time they are available without mats or frames. More will be added as they are rolled off the press.
PRINTMAKING: All my prints are created and processed by me with my small etching press. I use high quality printmaking papers and etching inks, and for the month of June, my naked prints will be shipped flat in an archival sleeve with the addition of a backing board of foam core.
I do small editions and unique prints, occasionally tinting prints with fine watercolors and inks. I work with ancient designs, and with my own reference photos and sketches from places I have visited.
I prefer to mat or frame my pieces before selling them, so take advantage of my newest explosion of creativity before I get around to hauling them to the frame shop.
COMMISSIONS: I have traveled extensively in Ireland, and I have a wealth of reference photos, notes and onsite sketches from around the island, including the countryside of Northern Ireland and the city of Belfast. I have a smaller selection of materials from Mexico, Germany, Greece, Austria, Wales, and northern England. I also have a few photos from the California Big Sur coastline and I can always get new photos or onsite drawings of sites in Washington DC on request if I don't already have what you want. I also travel to Mackinac Island, Michigan, once a year, so let me know if you have a memory of that area you'd like to illuminate.
Do you have a place that speaks to you? Did your grandfather take you to an ancient Irish ruin on your vacation as a child? I may have a photo, or sketches of that very place and perhaps I can create a work of art for you or provide you with a photographic reprint.
Do you have photos of a place? A story to share? Convo me and I may be able to work with your photos and memories to create a drawing or painting.
CARDS: I have a lot of fun making abstract gelatin print cards. Colors are rich and layered, and I have about two dozen in stock at any given time. Feel free to order custom color packs, in large or small orders. I can't guarantee any two will be the same, as each one is hand done in unique circumstances, but I will take general orders for colors, such as "green" or "purple" or I will take orders for freely interpreted themes such as "ocean colors" or "earth tones"
SHIPPING: Shipping is free to all US, Canadian and APO/FPO military addresses. Contact me for any other international shipping requirements.
RETURNS: Each unique piece of art is destined for someone unique. I am doing my best to ensure that the experience of acquiring the art is smooth. There will always be a possibility of glitches, so stay in contact with until the final conclusion; my Art in your possession as it was always meant to be.
I am always willing to take a piece back, even many commissions. I don't take it personally, and it is difficult to buy artwork online without seeing it in person. On receipt of my returned, undamaged artwork, I am always happy to return all money paid and all your costs of return shipping. Commissions usually require a non-refundable deposit for supplies which would not be returned. My suggestion is that you keep the shipped packaging until you are positive you won't need it. I insure most shipped artwork automatically, so contact me if there is any damage, to see what we can do, before attempting to ship it back.
