Welcome to my shop!

I am currently working full-time producing animal sculptures, tiles and themed-pottery in a studio in downtown Rochester, NY. I am fairly new to claywork, though I have been making art for my entire life. I have drawn, painted and been making sculpture since my earliest years. For a number of years prior to working in clay, I sculpted in wood and sold my work across the country.

I work in high-fired stoneware fired in a gas kiln, in mid-range stoneware fired in an electric kiln, and with terra cotta as well as earthenware clays. Most of my work is hand sculpted, though I have also designed and produce a line of two dozen animal-themed tiles of different sizes, which can be hung on the wall or else set into conventional tile work to provide visual interest. I throw pots on the potter's wheel to which I attach a variety of sculpted and carved creatures.

I also do custom portraiture in clay, whether it be free-standing sculpture or tile work.

I pack very carefully. Obviously, the sculptures require more effort and room than the tiles or the pottery. Therefore, my packing and shipping fees are higher. If you have any problems with my work, or any breakage, please contact me and I will make sure you are satisfied.
