Christina is a woodworker who specializes in wooden shaving kits for men, wooden USB flash drives, maple burl boxes, wine bottle stoppers and Christmas tree ornaments.
"I enjoy making high quality woodworking items - items that will last many years and will hopefully be passed down through the generations and become family heirlooms. I believe woodworking can be a very elegant art, despite it being a heavily male dominated profession. I try to give a ladies touch when developing my items - beautiful yet strong."
Christina also specializes in intarsia. Intarsia uses a scroll saw to cut pieces of wood similar to a puzzle making. These pieces are then shaped and rounded to give depth and character. Then the wood pieces are glued together, a backing, and ornament hook is a applied. Several coats of finish are applied to each piece, which hand sanding in-between. The result is beautiful but time consuming!
She also loves to turn wood on a lathe and uses the lathe to make wooden shaving kits, bottle stoppers, USB drives, and birdhouse Christmas tree ornaments.
