Story behind my Allium (Garlic) Flowers and ultimately my Etsy Shop:
My mother-in-law started delivering fresh garlic by the house, and after consuming more than you could imagine, my eye picked out a treasure amid the cloves. My allium flower is the end result of that vision, and for almost a year it lay dormant, always in the back of my mind challenging me to do something. It all started with this unique handcrafted flower that epitomizes the purpose of my shop. It was important for me to celebrate life responsibly without unnecessary waste, thus Chaparral Nonpareil was established as a way for me to take the things I found in nature and elevate them to a level worthy of home and party decor. It made me sad to see plastic and paper being used to recreate what we already had decaying on the earth's floor. My shop is and will always be a personal challenge, one of resourcefulness and creativity, and one that will continue to be a testament to my personal growth no matter the monetary success it may or may not bring.

I have a great time making the gifts in my shop. Every creation is one of a kind and is made to embody the spirit of something as unique and precious as love and friendship. Sadly, these are all limited stock items. I do my best to procure as much as I can from the forest floor each season, but supply is limited by nature and all the variables that can affect it.
