Hands, hammers, files and fire.

Handmade jewellery with lots of character. Your character.

Unique.
Handmade.
By me.
For you.

You know who you are , but you probably don’t know me yet. My name is Chris and I am slightly too obsessed with making jewellery. My vision is simple. To create jewellery, directly for my clients, to their own taste. The personification of the perfect piece of jewellery is a subjective task. For one person it means stark minimalism. To another it means art nouveau and for yet another it means rustic.

That is what intrigues me and drives me. I don’t set about making the perfect piece of jewellery for me. I set about making the perfect piece of jewellery for the most important person in the world, which specifically means you.

I do so with eager enthusiasm, and an attention to detail. I work from scratch for each client and make truly unique pieces to their brief and to their budget , in the materials that they desire. I work in platinum, gold (9k and 18k in all the colours), palladium and silver.

I utilize a vast array of skills and techniques to bring about the finished article. I don’t outsource work and it is all carried out within my workshop, in my shop, in the village of South Darenth, Kent, UK. Since the dawn of time, man has adorned himself with trinkets, and the techniques and tools have changed little. Of course nowadays we have the advantages of electricity, optics and science, but the one thing that has never changed is the jewellers patience and pride.

Of course, I do this all with my happiness guarantee. A no quibble promise. I’ll re-make it, tweak it or if you are just plum unhappy, I will give you a full refund. That is how sure I am that I can make you something extra special. That is how proud I am of my work.

All of this does not come at a premium price. Far from it, I am probably cheaper than those chain stores that frequent the high street, selling their mass made, machine churned out, cheap imported pieces.

I price my work fairly, reflecting that each piece takes 43 years to create. That is not a typo. Each piece has indeed taken 43 years to create, for that is my age. It has taken 43 years of falling out of trees, falling off of bikes, being chased by muggers and drawing pictures of starlings to get where I am today.

So your commission will kick into action the efforts of this hammer obsessed man. Unlike your ancestors, you don’t have to venture into the smog of the big city and tread muddy streets to a backwater room where the jewellers toiled.
Yours is the luxury of sitting at home surfing the web, or perhaps you are lounging in your local coffee shop on your smartphone.

In so many ways, you are unlike your great, great, great grandparent. They had the fortunate ability to commission craftsmen at every turn to create those heirlooms that you now cherish. In fifty years time, nobody will cherish your Ikea table, Gap jeans, Dell mouse or Starbucks ceramic mug.

Commission your heirloom. Create your history. Be the maker of memories. Be the giver of thought.

Ponder that.

Be the giver of thought.

  • Chris Parry

    Owner

I delight in making memories for other people. I make sparkly rings and other nice things in platinum, gold, palladium and silver. I work to commission and love creating unique pieces for clients. Hands, hammers, files, fire and coffee.

  • Eva Gothard

    Maker

Eva joined me as an eager apprentice four years ago. Eva is my right hand man, err lady. We get on really well and it has been a pleasure to have Eva work by my side whilst I built up the business. I wouldn't swap her for all the tea in China.

Payment

I accept Paypal. It is by far the easiest method for most.

I can accept credit cards over the phone for UK customers. Please phone me at my shop on 01322 867393

I cannot accept cheques.

Any questions, please send me a message.

Shipping

Worldwide, I use Royal Mail Airmail. It can take 3-10 working days once posted. Some destinations may take longer. This is the advertised delivery times by the postal service. Ultimately I have no control over exact delivery dates. Please bear in mind that International post in some cases, can be delayed and my worst case so far was 4 weeks. Sometimes this may simply be a delay in the package clearing customs control.

Express delivery is possible. This is advertised by Royal Mail as 2-3 working days for most worldwide destinations. The cost of the express service is $8 on top of the standard shipping cost.

There is only ever one delivery charge to pay, when you purchase multiple items.

In the UK, I use either Recorded or Special Delivery which is typically a 1-3 day service.

Don't forget that you may be liable to a customs import tax. It is your responsibility to cover this cost. Please check with your local authorities as each country has different laws and I cannot answer these questions for you.

Don't forget that some of my items take a short while to create, so please speak to me if you have a tight deadline. I will advise as to how quickly I can get your commision finished.

Additional policies and FAQs
