CJ's Woodland Shed

cjswoodlandshed's Shop Announcement

My linocuts are small prints that are made by taking a wooden block that has a layer of linoleum glued to one side, carving it, rolling it with ink, and hand printing it. Each print is unique, and each is a balance of light and dark. The process of carving out the lines makes each design special.

My journey with autism in my family has taught me to look at earth conservation in a new light. I believe that many diseases are brought upon us in part by our environment, or rather, our lack of care for it. Consider that only 5% of all crops are cotton, yet 25% of all pesticides/fertilizers are used to produce commercial cotton. I find using preexisting fabrics to create new fashions very exciting because reusing fabric prevents the use of some of these harmful chemicals.

This shop is convo friendly.
