If you met me, you’d probably call me a craft geek. I get twitchy if I haven’t got a project on the go.

I've always loved handmade items and own jewellery and accessory boxes crammed full of bits and bobs. I have a slight obsession for fabric and buttons and it occurred to me that I could merge the two and make use of the endless supplies I was accumulating! I started making items such as fabric buttons rings for family and friends and the shop soon developed to include scrabble tile jewellery, bracelets and button items.

claireabellemakes was started in Cambridge, UK. My vibrant home city constantly inspires me and challenges me to be creative; there are some amazing artists here. I work from home in a studio space which is crammed full of supplies and craft items. I am often chaotic and untidy in my process, but I hope the end result is always one people will admire and enjoy.

I always try to source good quality supplies so I am able to provide affordable handmade accessories. If I find a unique and interesting button or a pretty fabric, I’m excited by the possibilities to transform it into a gift or personal item that can be treasured and worn with love.
