Handpainted illuminated initial letters and handwritten calligraphy pieces. Choose from a variety of manuscript initials either painted in color or gilded with real gold or silver leaf and handpainted with flowers or fruits eg. thistles, bluebells, heraldic roses, grapevines, white clover, snowdrops, strawberries, orange blossom, apples, raspberries or with heraldic animals - for example, a dragon or a lion, a phoenix; griffin or unicorn. Mythical animals are found often in heraldry and in illuminated manuscripts from all over the world. As a trained calligrapher and heraldic artist, I also produce Celtic letters inside knotwork panels or Roman capitals in any color.
