Welcome to Clay Escapes Pottery in beautiful Virginia Beach, VA.

FUNCTIONAL AND DECORATIVE POTTERY
I love to make functional pots and I believe they should be fun too.

Most of my pottery is wheel thrown using stoneware clay. Each starfish is unique as it is individually hand-built therefore size and shape may vary. The starfish pots are all thrown with a speckled clay. The white glaze allows the specks to show through. After dipping each piece in glaze I wipe off the starfish leaving it raw clay with glaze specks. All of my glazes are lead-free and food-safe.
