I make original hand-built or wheel thrown pottery.
My work was inspired by the photos taken of the earth by Apollo 13 "Blue Earth", and Apollo 17 "Full Earth". I aspired to capture these images into my ceramic pieces, and I call this collection my "Earth, Wind and Fire" series. I produce swirls of mesmerizing color throughout my work.
After much experimentation, and trials/tribulations, I figured it out! The process is time-consuming and quite expensive - but I think it is worth it. I hope you do too.
Most of my pieces are functional; they are food-safe, dishwasher safe, and microwavable. I make a variety of different pieces, in a variety of colors, i.e., vases, trays, bowls, mugs.
