Bright red lobster on a pearly white lacquer background set in a handmade bezel of sterling silver, on a sterling silver disk. The chain is sterling silver and clasps with a traditional ball chain clasp. All of the sterling silver is darkened to a rich charcoal for fantastic contrast and a modern feel.

The glass piece is an intaglio- carved from the back- and it is at least 30 years old (vintage).

The piece shown in the images is representative of the piece you will receive. Your treasure will be the same size, design, coloring...Please do allow for small, very subtle variations that make each handmade piece using vintage components special...

When you were a kid did you play mermaid whenever you were in water? Even a tub, a swimming pool, the very occasional very large puddle were temporary homes for my inner mermaid... I splashed, with one of the few friends I let in on this little game, for hours. Lost in play. Happy.

These are your inner mermaid's earrings. Bring her out. She wants to splash in the sun.

Sterling silver: hammered, fused, oxidized, brushed, tumbled, hammered some more....

Man made sea glass (I am drawn to authentic sea glass... I have these beads as I love the color, the organic shape, the texture, and these are usually more matchable in pairs than natural sea glass...of course there still is variation but not as much so a pair can be formed and not throw your balance off :-) hangs from handformed hooks. Suspended from the olivey green, glowing glass is a circular outline/hoop. Suspended from the hoop are long, elegant lengths of seaweed.

Seaweed "fringe" is formed by hand, fused, hammered, oxidized, sanded, and then selectively burnished by hand allowing a bit of a feeling of "sea water glistening in the sun as you boost yourself onto a hidden rock in the cove".... This is aided by the lightness of the fringe- the individual pieces are light enough that they move gently. Undulating like seaweed just below the surface.

These are extremely long earrings (just like their description :-) and they hang 4" from your piercing. They are also- due to the positioning of the glass and the crafting of the sterling silver components- extremely lightweight and carefree. These are no more weighty or hefty than tiny dangles. (I make quite a few smaller earrings and I can't stop marveling over the weight of these and the balance...).

Ok. I made these for you. I'll make my pair over the weekend. Meet me down at the edge of where the sea meets land and we'll splash in the sun without a care in the world.

The off-center positioning, on the turquoise background, of the sherbet orange and lime green star remind me of starfish... The oxidized triple chain reminds me of antique fishing nets...

Vintage (30 years old) Lucite set in a handwrought sterling silver bezel- framing the beautiful deep turquoise with lovely scallops...

Chain length is 18". Chain is oxidized sterling silver in two different patterns/textures- the thinner chain falls at a slightly different length to form a neckline that reminds me even more of scalloping on vintage dresses.

The pendant portion measures 1" in diameter, the pendant portion hangs a little over 1 1/8" in length from the chain.

Vintage glass reminds me of old bicycle reflectors... The color is a rich raspberry. The setting is a handcrafted bezel on a sterling silver disc.

The chain is sterling silver ball chain with a traditional ball chain connector. All of the metal has been oxidized and brushed for a gorgeous vintage industrial feel.

The silver disc measures 3/4" in diameter. The chain is 18" in length.

The image of how these hang may show a piece of a different color, but the same design... Please do allow for tiny variations that are a natural with vintage and handmade components...(large variations are used for other pieces)

Glowing aqua/cyan glass glows and pops against darkened and brushed sterling silver.

Vintage glass (30 years old) is set in handmade silver bezels set on sterling silver discs... I oxidized these but polished the area beneath the glass to a bright shine... This allows the cyan glass to glow...

These will hang approximately 1.5" from your piercing (disc diameter is around 3/4" to give you a better idea of size)...They swing from handmade, tumbled, blackened, and brushed sterling silver earwires....

Honey. Necklace. by clevergirl

Vintage (pre-1970) Lucite- in delicious shades of honey- translucent variegated with opaque. Forming a glowing piece that is all at once honey and prominently grained exotic wood. But it is always vintage plastic, now set for permanence rather than as a costume bauble.

Cylindrical "honey" is cupped by a handmade (by me) bezel and sweet scalloping. The finish is oxidized and then vigorously yet selectively brushed allowing the metal an "antiqued" feel in coloration and a texture that's all up to date and modern.

Cylinder and bezels rotate on a sterling axis. Twirling it in your fingers is meditative and flirtatious, depending on your mood of course.

All of the metal is sterling silver (solid .925! Yay!)

The chain is oxidized as well and the length is approx 18.5" total (18" of chain 1/2" of honey and silver goodness!). For scale reference the "barrel o'honey" is 1/2" wide and approximately 7/8" deep. Clasp is a handmade hook (sturdy and comfortable) so you may adjust the length a bit.

Silver pistols carved from the reverse, in glass, on a pink background (glass bit is vintage, 30 years old.)....Set in a handmade sterling silver bezel, oxidized for that much more oomph. Hanging from sterling silver rectangular link chain...Lobster clasp holds this firm and comfortable on your neck....

The focal piece is vintage glass, the setting was made by me with the help of some fire and a few tools.... It measures a smidgen under 1.25" wide and 1" tall (including hanging loops) ... Overall length wears between 19-20"....

A handformed sterling silver bezel hugs a vintage (30 years old) bloom (lucite...the flower is not painted on, it runs through the whole bit of vintage lucite) .... The silver was tumbled to a high shine... (of course, if you would prefer this with darkened sterling, please let me know in the notes to seller area during checkout).

The chain is sterling silver and measures approximately 18", it closes with a traditional ball chain connector made of sterling silver...

This pendant measures approximately 5/8" across and 1 1/8" from top of bail to bottom.... The image of "how this hangs" shows a pendant of the same design and size, but different finishes...You will receive the pendant and chain in the first image...
