Welcome to the Etsy home of ColorTwirl Marbling. I pursue both watercolor and acrylic marbling, and produce a growing variety of paper and fabric products. Marbling is a centuries-old process of applying thin paints onto thickened water, creating designs, and then printing the image on a piece of prepared paper or other suitable material. (Fabric, leather and wood are frequently marbled.)

Each sheet of paper or piece of fabric is a monoprint - a unique image that can never be precisely duplicated. While I don't make my own paper or cloth, every other step of the process is executed by hand.
