Comfed Out Kaiser is what I think of as my own perfect little corner of the world. Where everything that is usable gets reused. Where history has a value. Where organic doesn't just mean food. Where everything I do supports my community both local and online.

While I may sometimes hit the big box grocery instead of getting up early to shop the farmer's market - in this place, I have the opportunity to practice what I truly value and work toward this little space teaching me how to always live this way.

The relaunch of the store in September 2009 will stock vintage buttons and one of a kind winter hats inspired by yarns from the August Phat Fiber box (http://phatfiber.com)

The profits of any preemie items will go directly to the Friends of Maddie Foundation (http://friendsofmaddie.com) - honoring Madeline Alice Spohr and helping the families of NICU babies by providing materials and support as they begin a new, often scary, chapter of their lives
