cookiewonton's Shop Announcement

Hi, I'm cookiewonton and I like to make things. It all began when I was about 5 years old and my Nanny taught me needlepoint. Then Mamaw taught me to sew. I learned cross-stitch and knitting at Nanny's when I was eight. Crochet was a happy accident resulting from a book I picked up on my lunch break when I worked a very boring desk job while I was pregnant with my son. "Learn to Crochet in Just One Day" taught me to do just that. By the time my baby was born he had a whole heap of clothes and blankets. I also like to paint, draw, write, play with my camera, and make costumes for my monkey. As for my name, cookiewonton is what my daughter (my monkey) began to call me when she was about two. It took me awhile to figure out she was saying "Cookie! Want one!". But by then the name had stuck. So it goes.
