Please note, my dear customers, that last week I underwent some serious back surgery. For the time being I will list my current stock, as I have had some ready for a show I had to cancel. Unfortunately, due to recuperation restrictions I will be unable to lift, and so on, for at least the next 4 months. I will be unable to do any special orders, or recreate things I run out of, for the time being. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause my customers who were looking forward to last minute holiday purchases.

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my Etsy shop. I’m Brian and I live in Northern Michigan. I have been in the toy business for over 20 years, mostly doing Art & Craft shows around the Northeastern U.S. Although I’ve done mail orders this is my first attempt at Internet sales, hopefully a website will follow soon.

I work primarily in mixed hardwoods that I hand select from a local sawmill. Combining talents with my wife (rightturnartwerks.etsy.com) we produce a line of toys which will delight children and parents alike. We silk-screen various decorations which compliment our designs. All paints are 100% lead-free. Convo me for info and a picture. All toys are sanded and rounded for safe play. I use pure mineral oil for a good non-toxic finish. It has to be safe for children or I won’t sell it.

It’s been sort of a mission of mine to create toys with animation, imagination, and full of experiential learning. I think of my toys as “small sculptures” for children, contributing to the “hand-crafted” aesthetics that will keep the arts alive in the future.
