“Hats For Haiti”
30% of the profits from the next two months (February through March of 2010) are going to be donated to the following charities.

15% of our profits in the next two months will be going to http://www.lambifund.org/ which is a charity that help's fund sustainable living, Community Micro-credit, Animal Husbandry, Environment, and Organizational and Leadership Training to help fix and maintain healthy living for the people of Haiti.

Also the other 15% of the profits from our "Hats For Haiti" will be going to the OXFAM organization http://www.oxfam.org/
They focus their efforts in these areas: Development of communities on long-term programs to eradicate poverty and combat injustice, delivering immediate life-saving assistance to people affected by natural disasters or conflict, raise public awareness of the causes of poverty and encourage ordinary people to take action for a fairer world, press decision-makers to change policies and practices that reinforce poverty and injustice, speak with authority as a result of thorough research and analysis, and the real experience of our partners in developing countries.

Welcome to My new shop The Crazy Hat Society, Where I make custom one of a kind knit and crochet hats along with some other crazy things. I try to make all my item as unique as possible giving each hat/item their own special personality. I love making people smile so I hope my hats will make many, many people smile by being here on Etsy. I make these silly hats to make people smile and laugh because I believe that Laughter can really truly help a person get through those rough times in life. And if I can brighten up one person's day with one of my hats ... I think that would make me very happy, and proud.

I also make Charity hats for Endangered species and their habitats. I love animals and I really wish I could do more to help save them from near extinction, so I came up with a small way to help out. Whenever you purchase a Endangered Species hat not only are you getting a very special handmade hat, you are helping an endangered animal and their home. When you purchase one of these hats a donation of $25 per hat is given to The World Wildlife Foundation. Once they Receive their donation I will then send you the confirmation letter so you can have confidence that your purchase is going toward helping the animals.
