Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. All the items by Curious Inventions of Dr. Roberts are superbly hand crafted in the Steampunk Style using new, recycled and found objects. The technology is reminiscent of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. These beautiful pieces of functional art will be a curious conversation piece in any home or office.

If you have arrived here in search of the elusive steampunk lamps and you find none, please accept my most heartfelt apologies. It seems that a little bit of promo goes a long way in the blogosphere, and I have completely sold out of my current stock - even that which was not yet slated for etsy for days to come!

GUEST ARTIST at CURIOUS INVENTIONS

Occasionally here, you will find items of a curiously inventive nature by my partner-in-workshop, T. Shawn Johnson. He is a sculptor specializing in 3D designs that are brought into physicality through the ingeniouity of 3D printing in a variety of materials including plastic, wood, and metal.
