I learned crochet back in 2006 in order to learn how to have more creative edgings on my knit works. A friend at the time was crocheting, and I was fascinated by all the beautiful designs she could create with the hook. I was doubly inspired to learn crochet because my local yarn shop suddenly started selling small pattern booklets containing crochet stuffed plush toys called "amigurumi," and I immediately fell in love with the idea that I could use yarn to sculpt things! Within the only three lessons, I realized I was meant for crochet and that I had a special knack for amigurumi.

All these years later, I'm still madly in love with crocheting. As an out-and-proud Queer Bisexual, I've decided to combine the "hooker" and Queer parts of my identity in order to create fiber art gifts that celebrate all of the flags that reside inside the LGBTQIA+ rainbow.

I am also an aging Goth, though, to be honest, it wasn't called "Goth" when I was young! (Yes: I was "raised" on the Bauhaus and Anne Rice's Lestat novels. I'm old enough to be your tat-clad, combat-boot wearing mother or grandmother!) Because of this, from time to time, you may find the weird or supernatural for sale in my shop. I love working with bright color yarns...but sometimes I must feed that darkness in my heart! :)
