My husband Marty and I are children's books authors and I am an illustrator from West Virginia. We have spoken in over 16 different states across the country and in over 500 of schools about our many adventures. We always emphasize that reading,writing and illustrating are the greatest adventures. Our goal is to encourage children to have their own adventures. The students always ask us how we were able to afford to travel all over the world. The answer was, were able to pay for all of our wonderful adventures by having choreographed junk sales. These choreographed junk sales became our fist book "Junk to Dreams" written 20 years ago.The experience we gained by writing "Junk to Dreams" has helped us collect the vintage items available in our store. We live now in Wheeling, West Virginia and here in the Ohio Valley we have discovered a big treasure trove of vintage items. We are updating "Junk to Dreams" because there was no Etsy or Internet when we wrote the first edition. Soon you will be able to purchase this book to create you own adventures.
