dervish's Shop Announcement

In Toronto? Visit my knits at Beadle on Dundas West, and paper decorations at Botany on College (next to Red Pegasus)

I think I work on projects backwards. I find some materials that are going to be discarded, and figure out what to make with them. Things may look a little random around the shop, but I really get excited about finding different materials to work with . Like old Bollywood films. I found a stash being thrown out, and I couldn't let that happen. God only knows what I'll do with them, but there's a project in those rusty old tins.
It seems I attract bits of fabric, old books and yarn so I'm working with that. And buttons. Why do the pretty pretty buttons throw themselves in my path? They are so very irresistable.

I never unravel usable sweaters, just the damaged or unsellable. Same with books and maps, I use ones that are damaged, or unusable. I try and use stuff that would otherwise be "garbage". I would never cut up a good vintage tie, or a good book. Ever.

Questions are always welcome, I love having a convo.

Always a smoke-free home
No longer a pet-free home. I've adopted a stray rescue kitten named Henry Moon. He is chaos and joy in a fur coat. And he is not allowed near yarn...or paper..or thread..
