The majority of my paintings are gouache and ink on paper. Gouache is a type of paint, similar to watercolor, consisting of pigment suspended in water and gum arabic. Gouache is different from watercolor in that the particles of pigment are larger, the ratio of pigment to water is much higher, and an additional, white pigment is added. This makes the paint more opaque than watercolor, and more luminous on the paper.
