Hello, My name is Clare Coyne and I make one of a kind handmade dolls. Every doll is individually created from vintage + designer fabrics, recycled materials and haberdashery. Their faces are made of cloth, needle-sculpted then hand-embroidered or painted.
These dolls are not just for children. Adults love them too. My range includes vintage-style, modern, multi-racial and good old-fashioned rag-dolls. They are all dressed in their own unique outfit made especially for her including under-garments made of lace.
I use old fashioned button joints at the limbs that allow for movement - so you can pose them any way you want. Some dolls have bendable hands and fingers.
I buy fair-trade where and when it is possible. I recycle materials. My doll making is eco-friendly using natural fabrics, natural dyes and cotton thread. Safety standard stuffing is use in all my dolls. For dolls with painted faces the paint is non-toxic. Quality materials are used throughout, including Tibetan lambs wool, Peruvian wool and mohair.
I also make customized dolls.
